I’ve interviewed vegans all over the country for my channel VeganLinked. My interview with Eugene in Houston Texas was on a late Saturday night whim. I had been traveling for about 2 weeks by this point, an 18 hour drive trip one way. It was Saturday night so I had some downtime in between interviews I didn’t have anyone lined up. I wanted to stay productive. So, I went to a local restaurant called Cascabel.

Dr Garth Davis took me to Cascabel when I first arrived in Houston. I was in love with this place, a genuine Mexican restaurant and all vegan! I even was able to interview the the husband and wife couple that own it. She was even pregnant expecting their second vegan from birth! That interview will be released later in 2024.

On this particular Saturday night the Vegan Society there was having an event. I figured since I had nothing else to do I may as well see if I can find someone to interview. That’s when I found Eugene!

It was a late Saturday night before we even got rolling. He had a lot to say and had pretty much covered every possible argument if not in the interview on his website. Eugene is a brilliant engineer and runs a channel called “Physics Videos by Eugene Khutoryansky” for fun that has over 1 Million subscribers with a mere 158 videos. But, he’s very behind the scenes, so he wasn’t sure how he felt about doing an interview. I’m glad he did because he’s amazing!

Ultimately, Eugene has thought about this deeply. Check out his site https://veg1.org/. In my interview with Eugene he shares why he thinks we have a moral obligation to be vegan. He states

I believe it’s morally wrong to torture and kill animals for the pleasure of satisfying our taste buds and I believe everyone is morally required to be a vegan

So I ask, if we have a moral obligation to be vegan. do we have a moral obligation to raise our children vegan?

The video covers many topics. But, in the comments some did share their thoughts on the idea of it being a moral obligation:

I wish more vegans recognized that “exploitation and slavery of animals’ includes governmental taxation and regulation of humans. Using force (or threats thereof) against innocent creatures in order to get something from them, or make them do what you want them to do, is immoral. Voting for others to exploit humans is no different than paying for others to exploit animals.

Such an amazing interview, a well spoken guy, I’m surprised I never heard of him before.
I also enjoyed a few articles on his website, about children and about objective morality.
I just the site was more modern to attract more visitors

I agree, Vegan is a moral obligation !
Thank you for this outstanding interview, so uplifting to hear and feel the energy from a true ethical vegan.
